Old Fashion Meatloaf

  • 1½ lb lean ground beef
  • 1 lb bulk pork sausage
  • 1 can (8 oz) organic tomato sauce
  • ½ teaspoon hot pepper flakes
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives
  • 1 packet Swanson Chicken “Flavor Boost” or bullion cube
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 cup gluten free oats
  1. Combine all ingredients and mix well until there is an even consistency.
  2. Divide the mixture into 2 equal amounts.
  3. Place half one half of the mixture into a loaf pan and press down to distribute meat mixture evenly and into the corners.
  4. Repeat the process for the second half of the mixture into a second loaf pan.
  5. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
  6. Allow to stand for 5-10 minutes so the meat will set.
  7. Slice and serve with FODMAP free mashed potatoes
